Download a summary of the Meridium APM Services and Seminars
A Meridium Asset Performance Management Evaluation is your company’s first step toward becoming a worldclass performer in the optimal management of your production assets and work processes. Primarily, the Meridium APM Evaluation is an assessment of an organization’s existing and needed capabilities. A formal report of observations, conditions found, recommendations, and an action plan is provided within 15 to 20 business days from the on-site assessment. Meridium consultants also will deliver the findings to management at an on-site presentation. Meridium delivers the report with a focus on items discovered, recommendations, a suggested path forward, and the expected return on investment supported by a detailed business case.
Our consultants can provide recommended asset performance strategies and approaches for effective reliability improvements in these areas, among others:
- Business/Work Processes
- Reliability Analysis
- Planning and Scheduling
- Metrics/Scorecards
- Risk Based Inspection
|
- Root Cause Analysis
- Turnaround Preparedness
- Asset Criticality
- Reliability Centered Maintenance

Length: 3 Days Meridium is certified to facilitate The Manufacturing Game®, known throughout the industry as the most effective workshop for increasing team learning, cross-departmental communications and decision making that lead to eliminating plant defects and improving operations. Through the use of practice fields and strategic simulation, participants learn in a very short time what usually takes several years to experience onsite at a plant. As leaders of the workshop, Meridium will teach attendees how to create an immediate action plan, align strategies with daily functional tasks and work through organizational issues to attain better asset performance management.
Length: varies Meridium’s APM Consulting Group provides a reliability certification program designed for reliability engineers and management personnel. This program focuses on delivering the technical and cultural aspects of an allinclusive asset performance management system. The primary goal is not to simply teach reliability-related point solutions, but rather focus attendees on understanding the total, comprehensive aspects of an asset performance management system. Although detailed training on reliability tools is included, what makes this program unique is that attendees are introduced to the work processes required to successfully implement a wide-ranging, continuous, and effective course of action. This programreflects current industry practices, and typically requires approximately seven to eight weeks of workshops, seminars and case studies. Meridium can also tailor the course content to meet the specific needs of an individual organization or company.
Length: 2 Days This two-day workshop focuses on the minimum data required to perform effective reliability analysis. Addressed in this workshop is work history coding that includes repair and failure event codes from three sources: ISO 14224, Meridium Code Content, and ExxonMobil's equipment taxonomy. The workshop is designed to guide the user to understand the impacts and benefits of using work history codes with integrated data from their maintenance management system. Case histories, including examples of successful uses of work history codes in defect elimination processes, are provided. A sample set of Meridium pump work history codes are provided to each attendee.
Length: 3 Days This three-day seminar is designed to provide a complete RCA methodology for eliminating or minimizing the most important failures in plants. These failures typically account for 80% of the operating losses of a typical plant. The seminar provides a step-by-step approach to identifying significant failures all the way through uncovering causes and implementing recommendations. Geared to engineering, technical and management personnel, its highly detailed and verifiable approach has been used effectively in the field for major corporations around the world.
Length: 3 Days Building a program of proactive maintenance and operations actions is essential if optimal asset performance is to be achieved and sustained. Plants are increasingly turning to RCM to provide an auditable method of delivering business-driven asset performance maintenance strategies and policies. This 3-day course provides both the fundamentals of the RCM method and an understanding of underlying philosophy. The seven steps to developing functions, functional failures, failure modes, failure effects, and proactive/default actions are explained and applied using common industry examples. Delegates will apply RCM to their own plant equipment to get a solid grasp of what the method entails and how it works.
Length: 1 Day Effective planning and execution of shutdowns or turnarounds is critical to the success of any maintenance and operations program. A proven methodology for shutdowns and turnarounds is taught and provided to control all the activities of turnarounds necessary for successful completion. The process can be easily tailored for any plant or equipment outage or shutdown.
Length: 3 Days Achieving and maintaining an effective maintenance planning and scheduling system is an important maintenance strategy. Manufacturing plants are increasingly turning to and revitalizing their maintenance planning and scheduling to provide a proven method of delivering business-driven asset performance maintenance strategies and policies. This three-day course provides both the fundamentals of maintenance planning and scheduling as well as an understanding of possible underlying issues and potential opportunities for growth.
Length: 2 Days Employing the right mix of PM and PdM is usually difficult to achieve in any maintenance organization. Meridium subject matter experts in the field of PM and PdM guide attendees through an interactive process of determining what is the right level of PM and PdM for their organization. Optimizing preventive maintenance schedules and implementing predictive maintenance methodologies is the focus of this 2-day workshop.
Length: 2 Days Benefits of a risk management process are the primary focus of this two-day workshop. Industry specifications API 580 and 581 are addressed and how Risk Based Inspection (RBI) fits within the framework of an enterprise asset performance management system. Demonstrations and discussions of a simulated RBI case study are included in this interactive presentation. Attendees will be provided with enough knowledge and information to develop their own effective RBI action plan.
