• Adding field behaviors (valid values, validation, default, disable, calculation, required)

• Introduction to the import/export utility
• Creating security user and group accounts
• Setting up shared directories, homepages and objects
• Applying security to shared work and data

Prerequisite:  APM Overview
This course will provide users with a basic understanding of the core Meridium functionality in a hands-on environment.  Also included are labs and exercises which allow the participants to apply the skills they've learned. 

Topics include:

• Accessing and customizing homepages
• Using shared directories
• Using the Meridium tools to search and display data
• Building queries, reports, graphs and datasets

Prerequisite:  Basic Administration
This course is designed to provide Administrators the skills and knowledge they need to build and maintain interfaces from external data sources to Meridium. 

Topics include:

• Designing jobs
• Manipulating data
• Loading relationship data
• Enforcing business logic
• Running and scheduling jobs
• Viewing job logs and troubleshooting

• Working with datasets
• Building complex queries using the Meridium Expression Builder

This course is designed to provide Administrators the skills and knowledge they need to enhance their Meridium database using advanced functionality within the Data Configuration Manager.

Topics include:

• Manage families and relationships
• Setup Master Detail Forms
• Create and maintain Hyperlink Fields
• Setup Revision History on specific data fields
• Setup advanced Security using Data Filters
• Develop and build Administrative Queries (Update, Delete, Append)

This course is designed to provide the skills needed to build and enhance Meridium reports in Seagate Crystal Reports by applying formulas, formatting, graphing, etc.

Topics include:

• Querying your Meridium database
• Basic formatting such as report layout, headers and footers
• Advanced formatting such as groups, sorting, summaries, adding graphs, adding conditional formatting, creating calculations, etc.

Prerequisite:  Basic Administration, VSA Knowledge
This course is designed to provide Administrators the skills and knowledge they need to develop the field and family level Business Rules needed to enhance their Meridium database.

Topics include:

• Working within the VSA environment
• Build and use Field Behaviors to set required fields, validate data, provide field pick-lists, set default values, disable fields, etc.
• Use Family level rules to create and maintain data relationships
• Handle exceptions in rules
• Use the Rule Debugger to review run-time behavior for troubleshooting rule problems
